RULES

THIS DIVISION WAS CREATED TO KEEP CARS STOCK AND CREATE AN AFFORABLE WAY FOR PEOPLE TO GO RACING FROM THE STANDS TO THE TRACK.

CAR PREPARATION:

FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE ARE ALLOWED. NO ALL-WHEEL DRIVE CARS ALLOWED.


STOCK 4-CYLINDERS ONLY. ANY CAR WITH MORE THAN 160HP FROM FACTORY MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BEFORE ALLOWED TO COMPETE.

 

A/C SYSTEM COMPONENTS MAY BE REMOVED.

 

STOCK AIR INTAKE/CLEANER SYSTEMS WITH REGULAR FILTER ONLY. MUST BE INTACT AS FROM THE FACTORY WITH NO HOLES OR OTHER MODIFICATIONS.
 

STOCK EXHAUST MANIFOLD ONLY. MAY USE STRAIGHT PIPE EXHAUST THE SAME SIZE FROM THE MANIFOLD TO THE END. MUST EXIT OUT FROM VEHICLE PAST DRIVER.

THE SUSPENSON MUST BE STOCK WITH NO MODIFICATIONS AT ALL. CAMBER ALLOWED IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR AS FOLLOWS: 5.5 DEGREES MAXIMUM ON RIGHT SIDE, 3 DEGREES MAXIMUM ON LEFT SIDE. CAMBER WILL BE CHECKED BEHIND THE SCALES ON THE FLAT CONCRETE AND CHECKED WITH 40PSI IN EACH TIRE. NO TOLERANCE WILL BE GIVEN AT TIME OF INSPECTION.

 

REAR MUST BE ZERO TOE AND UP TO ONE DEGREE OF CAMBER AS THE CAR COMES FROM THE FACTORY. ABSOLUTELY NO REAR STEER.
 

AFTERMARKET UPPER CONTROL ARMS AND REAR ADJUSTERS ARE ALLOWED TO ACHIEVE CAMBER. LOWER CONTROL ARMS MUST REMAIN COMPLETELY STOCK WITH NO MODIFICATIONS. BOTH LOWER CONTROL ARMS MUST BE THE SAME LENGTH.

NO MORE THAN 1/4" DIFFERENCE FROM THE LEFT TO THE RIGHT ON WHEELBASE. ZERO TOLERANCE ABOVE 1/4".

SAFETY HUBS ARE RECOMMENDED ON "GM" CARS TO ENSURE SAFETY.

SHOCK AND SPRINGS MUST BE STOCK FOR MAKE, MODEL, AND PLACEMENT. SPRING CAN NOT BE CUT. SHOCK AND SPRINGS CAN NOT BE ALTERED IN ANY WAY INCLUDING HEATING OF SPRINGS OR OTHER MEANS TO COLLAPSE THEM. UP TO THREE (TOTAL) SPRING RUBBERS ARE ALLOWED ON THE CAR FOR ADJUSTMENTS.

STOCK WHEELS ONLY FOR MAKE AND MODEL ALL MUST BE THE SAME SIZE AND OFFSET. AN AFTERMARKET WHEEL IS ALLOWED ON THE RIGHT FRONT FOR SAFETY BUT MUST HAVE THE SAME MEASUREMENTS AS THE OTHER THREE WHEELS.

DOT TREADWEAR 400 AND HIGHER. THE LOWEST ASPECT RATIO FO 60. TIRES MUST BE THE SAME SIZE ON ALL FOUR CORNERS.

MINIMUM WEIGHT: THE CAR WITH BE WEIGHED WITH THE DRIVER INSIDE.

HORSEPOWER/WEIGHT IS FACTORY RATED.

Under 110hp – No Min Weight

110hp – 119hp – 2200lbs Min Total Wt.

120hp – 129hp – 2300lbs Min Total Wt.

130hp – 139hp – 2400lbs Min Total Wt.

140hp – 149hp – 2500lbs Min Total Wt.

150hp – 159hp – 2600lbs Min Total Wt.

160hp and up – 2750lbs Min Total Wt.

NO BURN-OFF ALLOWED. THE CAR MUST MEET WEIGHT AT ANY TIME.

THE BODY MUST BE STOCKS WITH ALL LIGHTS, TRIM, AND OUTSIDE MIRRORS REMOVED. ALL WINDOWS MUST BE REMOVED, EXCEPT THE WINDSHIELD. MAY USE LEXAN, IN PLACE OF WINDSHIELD. WINDSHIELD BRACES ARE REQUIRED, ALL INTERIOR ITEMS THAT ARE PLASTIC AND/OR FLAMMABLE MUST BE REMOVED. MAY SKIN DOORS FOR THE ROLL CAGE.

ALL BODY PARTS MUST BE ON THE CAR AT ALL TIMES. ANY BODY PART NOT ON YOUR CAR, WILL NEED TO ADD 50 LBS OF LEAD IN ITS PLACE MOUNTED ON THE FAR RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR, AS CLOSE TO THE DOOR AS POSSIBLE. THIS INCLUDES THE TRUNK OR HATCH OF YOUR CAR. THE PART MUST BE ATTACHED IN ITS ORIGINAL SHAPE AND SIZE, OR AS CLOSE TO IT AS POSSIBLE WITH DAMAGE. (THE ONLY EXCLUSIONS TO THIS RULES, WILL BE PARTS UNATTACHABLE AFTER A WRECK DURING A RACE NIGHT.

 

THE CAR MUST BE IN PRESENTABLE CONDITION AT ALL TIMES. WE ASK THAT YOU TAKE PRIDE IN THE CARS THAT YOU ARE RACING. COVER HEADLIGHT OPENINGS AND OTHER HOLES LEFT BY CAR PREPARATION. PAINT THE CAR NICELY AND COME UP WITH A UNIQUE LOOK FOR YOUR CAR. KEEP IT IN AS GOOD OF CONDITION THROUGHOUT THE SEASON AS YOU CAN.

SAFETY:

ROLL CAGE - MINIMUM 4-POINT CAGE REQUIRED WITH THREE DOOR CARS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND 2 ON THE RIGHT SIDE. SEE ROLL CAGE COMPONENTS WEBSITE FOR CIRCLE TRACK START KIT FOR THE STYLE OF CAGE REQUIRED. ROLL CAGE MUST BE WELDED IN THE CAR NOT BOLTED.

 

SAFETY - ALUMIMUM RACE SEAT AND FIVE-POINT HARNESS REQUIRED. WINDOW NET MUST BE MOUNTED SOLID ON BOTTOM AND LATCH RELEASE ON TOP. FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITH METAL MOUNTING BRACKET IS A MUST. A HELMET, DRIVING SUIT, AND GLOVES ARE MANDATORY.

RADIOS/MIRROR - ONE SPOT MIRROR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE IS ALLOWED. SPOTTER COMMUNICATION ALLOWED. ANY MISUSE OF MIRROR FOR BLOCKING OR MISUSE OF RADIO COMMUNICATION WILL RESULT IN THE OFFENDING DRIVER/SPOTTER BEING PENALIZED AND THEIR PRIVILEGES BEING REVOKED.

ANYTHING RELATED TO SAFETY IS LIKELY ALLOWED WITHIN REASON, BUT YOU MUST ASK BEFORE DOING SO. FORGIVENESS IS HARDER TO COME BY THAN PERMISSION. ANYTHING NOT DISCUSSED IN THESE RULES SHOULD BE ADDRESSED WITH THE TECH MAN BEFORE DOING IT, AGAIN SEEKING FORGIVENESS ISN'T A GREAT PLAN, SO PLAN AHEAD.

**ANYTHING NOT COVERED MUST BE STOCK AND UNMODIFIED FOR MAKE AND MODEL ACCORDING TO THE CARS VIN NUMBER, WHICH MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE TRACK PRIOR TO RACING IN THIS DIVISION.**

 

AGAIN... THIS DIVISION WAS CREATED TO BE AN AFFORDABLE, ENTRY-LEVEL WAY TO ENTER STOCK CAR RACING. KEEPING CARS COMPLETELY STOCK AND UNMODIFIED IS THE PRIORITY AND THE DIVISION WILL BE TECHED TO ENSURE THAT. CHANGES NOT LISTED IN THE RULES ARE NOT ALLOWED.

TECH PROCEDURES:

1 - TIRES, WHEELS, AND WEIGHT WILL TECHED WEEKLY.

 

2- THE INSPECTOR MAY OPT TO CHECK ANY OTHER ITEM AND WILL LIKELY PICK AT LEAST TWO ITEMS PER RACE IN ADDITION TO THE THREE ABOVE TO CHECK. 
 

3 - OPEN TECH FOR THE TOP 3 FINISHERS. ANY TOP 3 FINISHERS CAN INSPECT THE OTHER TOP 3 CARS WITH ASSISTANCE OF THE TECH MAN OR ASK THE INSPECTOR TO CHECK A SPECIFIC ITEM. ONE ITEM PER WEEK MAY BE SELECTED BY A COMPETITOR TO BE CHECKED ON ALL THE TOP THREE FINISHING CARS. ITEM MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR VISUAL INSPECTION TO BE SELECTED BY A COMPETITOR.
 

4 - THE RACE TRACK MAY INSPECT ANY PART AT ANY TIME DURING AN EVENT PRIOR TO OR AFTER THE RACE.

CHEATING/DISQUALIFIATIONS:

 

1 - THE FIRST OFFENSE OF CHEATING WILL RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION AND LOSS OF PURSE AND POINTS FOR THE EVENT.

2 - THE SECOND OFFENSE OF CHEATING WILL RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION AND LOSS OF PURSE AND POINTS FROM THE EVENT, AS WELL AS, A SUBSEQUENT SUSPENSION FROM THE NEXT STOCK 4 EVENT.
 

3 - THE THIRED OFFENSE OF CHEATING WILL RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION AND LOSS OF PURSE AND POINT FROM THE EVENT, AS WELL AS, A 60-DAY BAN FROM COMPETING IN THIS CLASS.

 

4 - THE FOURTH OFFENSE OF CHEATING WILL RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION AND LOSS OF PURSE FOR THE EVENT, AS WELL AS, A ONE-YEAR BAN FROM COMPETING IN THIS CLASS.

 

CHEATING BANS ARE ONLY FOR THE DIVISON CAUGHT CHEATING IN. A DRIVER MAY MOVE TO ANOTHER DIVISION ONCE BANNED FROM COMPETING IN ONE DIVISON.

PROTESTS:

 

1 - A PROTEST MSUT BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING, SPECIFICALLY OUTLINING WHAT PARTS ARE BEING PROTESTED AND MSUT BE ACCOMPANIED BY CASH FOR THE PROTEST AMOUNT. THIS MUST BE DONE WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF THE CHECKERED FLAG.

2 - PROTEST MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE LEAD TECHNICAL INSPECTOR FOR THE NIGHT FOR YOUR DIVISON.


3 - CAR BEING PROTESTED WILL BE ASKED TO ACCEPT OR DENY THE PROTEST AT THE TIME IN WHICH THE INSPECTOR ACCEPTS THE PROTEST.

 

4 - IF THE CAR BEING PROTESTED HAS BEEN PENALIZED FOR THE PART IN QUESTION ALREADY DURING PRE-RACE INSPECTION, THE PROTEST  WILL BE DISREGARDED.

 

5 - PROTESTS WILL NOT ACCEPTED ON CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT, SO AS NOT TO ALLOW A COMPETITOR THE CHANCE TO ALTER THE OUTCOME OF A CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE FINAL NIGHT OF POINTS RACING.

PROTEST PRICE:

1 - PROTEST OF THE ENTIRE CAR: $900. $300 OF THE PROTEST GOES TO THE TRACK AND $600 TO THE WINNER OF THE PROTEST.

2 - PROTEST OF THE BOTTOM END OF THE ENGINE: $500. $200 OF THE PROTEST GOES TO THE TRACK AND $300 TO THE WINNER OF THE PROTEST.

 

3 - PROTEST OF THE ENGINE HEADS, EFI SYSTEM, INTAKE, SPACE, BORE, AND STROKE: $300. $100 OF THE PROTEST GOES TO THE TRACK AND $200 TO THE WINNER OF THE PROTEST.

4 - PROTEST OF THE BORE AND STROKE ONLY: $150. $50 OF THE PROTEST GOES TO THE TRACK AND $100 TO THE WINNER OF THE PROTEST. IF THIS PROTEST IS SUBMITTED, THE HEAD COMES OFF, BUT THE PROTESTING TEAM IS NOT ALLOWED TO LOOK AT ANYTHING DEALING WITH THE HEAD.

 

5 - ANY VISUAL OR MEASURABLE PROTEST IS $100. $50 OF THE PROTEST GOES TO THE TRACK AND $50 TO THE WINNER OF THE PROTEST.

6 - ANY OTHER PART BEING PROTESTED WILL HAVE A FEE ATTACHED AT THE TIME OF PROTEST BY THE TECHNICAL INSPECTOR AND THE PROMOTOR.
